Installing & Compiling: Installing & Compiling for Mac OS X

The Mac OS X compilation of the Lemur Toolkit under Darwin should be the the same as the installation for Linux.

Several people have found issues and fixes regarding building with different versions of gcc and Mac OS X. For more information, please see the phorum posts:

Also, there appears to be a bug regarding the optimizer in GCC 3.3 on Mac OS/X. If you have trouble using version 3.3, try compiling without any optimizations (the -O0 flag).

If you come across an unresolved issue, please post your question on the Lemur Phorum and perhaps another member of our community may help.
